Vidova Gora, Brac, Croatia

June 2007
Vidova Gora on the island of Brac is the highest point in the Mediterranian at 778m above sea level, it comes with a restaurant and a stunning view over Bol. Milna has recently opened a good quality mountain bike hire where you can get decent bikes for a good price. From there it took us about about 3 - 4 hours to cycle to Vidova Gora, including a long coffee break when the skies just opened and buckets of water came down. The route leads along a windy road, through small villages and through Forrestry Commission land. The builder's meal of cevapcici and beer that you can get at the restaurant can only be recommended if you dare to put your order to the grumpy chainsmoking waitress. On the way back you can opt for some offroad mountainbiking going through Potshumas.

Yippie, we're at the top and didn't get hit by lightning!
